Description:
As a French I think this is incredible to see such a Ad on TV! Moreover it was broadcasted during the superbowl. What a shame... In France we have "laws" to limit the greenwashing effect in Ad's even if it's not really efficient. Anyway we're lucky enough to avoid such a vomiting lie!

Audi is not a LPG or methan car, so it should not criticize the entire system ...

The ad catches my attention right away becuase the first thing they mention is Lexus' first hybrid came out before Youtube was around. Also they mention that Lexus hybrids have traveled 5.5 billion miles, which obviously shows that they're ahead of the curve in hybrid cars.

Opinion" I believe "Audi Super bowl ad Green Police" ad has greenwashing to it. The ad is very funny but you have no clue what the product is or what the ad is about until the very end. It doesn't seem to make sense how any car could be completely green. I believe the ad is very funny but is over done. With regards to greenwashing I'm sure that the company employees enjoy plastic bags at the supermarket, use batteries for their favorite electronics, throw orange peals in the trash, have florescent light bulbs in their homes, drink bottled waters at their meetings, or enjoy a nice dip in the hot tub. The end of the video states the car has clean diesel, which is odd because how can fuel be clean? RecommendationsBe more realistic. It was a cute and funny video although overly green. Tone down the green police and focus a little more on the car. I know nothing about the car after seeing the ad. I had to watch the video again because I forgot what the car looked like.

I gave a majority of good scores for this ad because I felt it did a good job at getting the point across in a clever and memorable way. The only one I rated a little higher was for exaggerating how green their product really is. Audi's are eco-friendly cars compared to other automobiles, but it is still a car and bad for the environment. The ad went a little overboard on giving examples of how green they really are. The "green police" would arrest people for small things such as drinking out of a water bottle or being in a hot tub with the temperature too high, and then let the Audi go as being okay. It got the point across very well and made an impact, but did exaggerate quite a bit. I thought it was pretty clever at the end when the green police gives an actual police officer a ticket for drinking out of a foam coffee cup. I think that Audi should keep their focus on having a “green†car because that is what people are looking for in this age, but should maybe have a more serious ad on the impact their eco-friendly car has on the environment.

While the ad is very entertaining, I believe it to be slightly misleading in the over-exaggeration of the "green police" vs. the clean burning diesel.
